Sabine Groenewegen is an award winning filmmaker and visual art. She received critical acclaim for her work which was shown at festivals and venues including FIDMarseille, Institute of Contemporary Arts: ICA London, and BOZAR Brussels. Her debut feature film Odyssey (2018) premiered at Doclisboa and won the 2019 Doc Alliance Award for Best Film and Best Feature at Istanbul Experimental Film Festival. Her work has received support including from The Netherlands Film Fund, Flanders Audiovisual Fund, British Arts Council, Light Cone Paris, ARGOS Centre for Art and Media, EYE Film Institute and the Danish Art Foundation. She regularly lectures at film academies and art schools, including at the MA Artist’s Film & Moving Image at Goldsmiths University of London and the MA Artistic Research in and Through Cinema at the Amsterdam Film Academy for which she developed several seminars.
